landfill-2.jpg05/23/2007 -A double bagger.  I live on a corner lot and have a lot of grass to cut.  If I cut the front and back yards the grass clippings fill up two garbage bags.  I have to stop a lot to empty the lawn mower bag.  The mower also is heavy and bogs down more when I use the bag attachment.  I also don’t like the idea that my two bags add to garbage truck pollution and space at the land fill.  Unless  the grass is very high the clippings don’t bother the grass or look bad anyway.  So why in the tarnation am I bagging my grass clippings?  Hence forth I am going save work and the environment and quit the stupid practice of treating my grass clippings as if they were garbage

washer.jpg05/13/2007 – Better late than never.   If you screwed up Mothers day I have the perfect gift for you.  An electric powered pressure washer.  I love mine.  Unlike gas powered washers I have rented before, the electric washers make less noise, start with a button and have plenty of power.  I have used mine to pressure wash the house, the deck, the sidewalk.  They also cost a lot less than the gas powered ones.  They are so easy to use even your mom or wife would love one.

rosemary2.jpg5/3/2007 – There’s something about Rosemary.  My local nursery here in Houston is open year round.   In January they had a few items left and I picked up a little Rosemary tree like the one pictured.  It was marked down 70% so I had to do it.  I put it in a bigger pot and I plan to prune it to keep the cone shape.  I have read they like to be on the dry side.  A while back I ate a Delicious Rosemary chicken dish at a restaurant that made a believer out of me.  I have since grilled some chicken with Rosemary and it came out great.  If you want to try it than take some butter, chopped Rosemary and plenty of lemon juice and mix it together.  I worked the marinade around and under the chicken skin and let it marinade a few hours.  Safe some mixture to baste the chicken as you grill it.  I have seen some recipes that include garlic also.  Some people also throw Rosemary sprigs on the coals.
