Diet and exercise. March 14, 2007
07/29/2007 - There is new study that says who you associate with can make you fat. I could have told you that without a study. On many occasion I have been sticking to diet my will power was strong and someone will say, “let’s go out to eat”. Most the time I say sure, let’s go eat at Chilies etc. where I get the big blue cheese burger with a basket of fries. Some times I am the instigator helping someone else pack on some pounds. Why do they do studies to prove what we already know? Doh!
Thoughts and strategies to lose weight by.
7/11/2007 - Here is my latest strategy, I have asked myself to eat the same thing everyday for the next three weeks. Weekdays, weekends, period. The menu is a little extreme and consists of a bowl of cereal like regular cheerios for breakfast. Lunch is fruit only and I have been eating an apple and a banana. Dinner is a lunch meat sandwich and some fruit if I am still hungry. This sort of plan makes it hard for the little voice to talk me into anything bad because there are no decisions to make, the food is on hand so no bail out there. I like the food I am eating even if I do experience some hunger pangs. If I can make it three weeks I should drop 10 pounds.
5/21/2007 - Well the weekend was a bomb again. It started at Gringo’s Mexican restaurant. I was good and ordered the tortilla soup, but they have the best green chip dip and I couldn’t stop eating them. Note to self: you can’t eat just one. I will probably lose 6 pounds again this week and that will put me at minus 20 pounds since March.
5/15/2007 - For two weeks now I have lost weight during the week only to gain it back on the week end. Yesterday morning I was 6 pounds up from Friday morning. This morning I was already down 4 of the 6 pounds from having a good Monday. Hopefully I can make it from now until next Monday and that will get me to a new low weight. I am getting tired of the plateau now so maybe that will help my will power.
5/7/2007 - Here is a thought. You have blow up days and days where you follow your diet plan to the letter. But hopefully you can keep the ratio of good days to bad days in your favor just enough to have the long term weight trend go in the right direction. Try and limit bad days to one and try for 5, 10, 15 good days before you go off the reservation again.
5/3/2007 - One thing that helps me a lot is getting out of the house at night so I don’t raid the kitchen. Sometimes I go to the gym or go shopping but all my binges I have ever had have happened at home when I am bored or craving something and that something turns into a whole lot of somethings.
4/25/07 - Strategy one: Plan my weekend and what I will try and eat at various social functions which include eating at restaurants. The weekend is by far the hardest when it comes to trying to stick to a diet. Avoiding social meals especially during the holidays is not an option so moderating their effect is the strategy.

Looks like you are getting plenty of fibre on your new eating plan — so should the need arise - which I hope it doesn’t - you wouldn’t have a problem getting any toads out of you know where, like that gentleman you posted about it Texas - I don’t even want to think about how that happened!
Shirley you know I was kidding about the toad? I am full of it you know.
Best of luck. If you ever need some inspiration stop by my blog. I am always glad to help.
Have you tried attaching a pedometer to your waist and walking 10,000 steps per day.
sounds like it would work. but don’t cheat. ok
just be glad you can walk it off.
